As noted Superdeporte West Ham United has submitted a proposal to Valencia by the international forward pass sub'19 by Spain , Toni Martinez ( 19) , who has participated in this season in just three games in Second Division B with Valencia Mestalla . According to the newspaper the operation would be very close materialize to the extent that the attacker went to the white club facilities with the intention of saying goodbye to his teammates.

Clear as mud.

From the ever-reliable Metro:

West Ham have swooped to sign promising Valencia striker Toni Martinez, according to reports in Spain.
The 18-year-old is a regular for Valencia’s youth teams where he has scored over 100 goals in the last four seasons.
But while many have tipped him for big things at the Mestalla, Radio Taronja says the Hammers have swooped to sign him for £2.3million.
Martinez, who only signed a new contract at Valencia in the summer, had apparently become frustrated with a lack of first-team chances.
He’s expected to link up with West Ham in the summer.

It looks as though Valencia are trying for a buy-back option.
Can't see Sully going for that.

West Ham striker signing: Goal machine tells team-mates he's joining, £2.5m deal talks

WEST HAM are in talks with Valencia to sign Toni Martinez, according to reports

The 18-year-old is a regular for Valencia’s youth teams where he has scored over 100 goals in the last four seasons.

Martinez can play on the left or as a centre forward and has made eight appearances for Valencia’s second string, making three assists and scoring one goal this term.

And according to the Daily Mail, the Hammers have held talks with the La Liga side over a £2.5million deal, which would contain a buy-back clause that would allow him to return to the Mestella.

The report further adds that the Spain under-19 international is understood to have already chosen to move to east London after informing his team-mates of the transfer despite terms not being entirely agreed at this stage.

If a deal is struck this would be the Hammers’ second signing of the summer after making Manuel Lanzini’s loan move from Al Jazira a permanent one in a deal worth around £9.4million.

Slaven Bilic’s side are also believed to be edging closer to agreeing a deal to sign Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder Havard Nordtveit.

Re: Toni Martinez
Must agree he sounds like some kind of pub singer :-)

Whether he signs or not it seems we are once again trying to get as much business done as early as possible. A good sign if the last season is anything to go by :-)

hate these buy-back clauses, hopefully that part isn't right

Re: Toni Martinez
Buy back clause of £100 million is alright.

Re: Toni Martinez
Surely the buy back clause will be you have first dibs.... They aren't even in the top 30 money league!!!

It would be like barca buying Oxford and us Demanding a buy back

Mr Polite 12:19 Wed Mar 30
Re: Toni Martinez
Buy back options are pointless.

If a player doesn't want to sign for a club he can't be made to. If he wants to, he will with or without that clause
